The number one enemy of women is definitely cellulite, hated and tackled especially in the run-up to summer. But how do you get rid of those unsightly pads that affect your legs and make them look like orange peel skin?

There are various methods to fight cellulite and get your legs back in shape!

Remember that cellulite is caused by subcutaneous fat cells that increase in volume due to excess fluid. This process alters the venous and lymphatic systems, leading to the formation of the famous pads.

Treatments

The most effective anti-cellulite remedies are specific localised treatments, such as ad hoc products, massages and special non-surgical therapies. They all act on the circulation and lymphatic system.

Products

LiteLife Wellness & SPA offers numerous products to combat water retention, including the specific No Cell treatment, which helps eliminate fat cells and make the tissues of the legs firmer.

In general, anti-cellulite creams are useful because they allow the skin to be massaged for a long time, especially at the most critical points, stimulating circulation.

Massages

Our SPA offers a wide range of massages, and the most effective against cellulite are undoubtedly the classic and lymph-draining massages. The former has direct benefits on the microcirculation, increasing it and making fat cells disappear. The second reactivates the lymphatic circulation, moving and eliminating toxins and excess liquids.

There are also other very effective treatments, such as pressotherapy and cavitation, which are also among the services offered by our wellness centre. The former is a method that literally presses, with the help of special leggings, the various sections of the legs, acting on both the lymphatic system and circulation. Cavitation combats cellulite, and fat deposits, with low-frequency ultrasound.

Natural remedies

If you prefer a home-made product, you can use coffee grounds and moisturising cream. Simply add the coffee grounds to the cream and spread it on the affected areas, two or three times a week, and rinse. You can also make compresses, covering the legs with cling film after spreading the cream on them, and rinse off after twenty minutes.

Another method is to apply a compress consisting of green clay (in the right amount to cover the legs), lemon and grapefruit juice, a tablespoon of olive oil and, if necessary to dilute, water. After grating the lemon and grapefruit peel, apply to the legs and cover with foil, leave for 15 minutes and rinse. Repeat three times a week until the desired result is achieved.
